Functions:

It is an Employability Enhancement Initiative of the Education Department, Government of Gujarat for imparting training on Skill development for students of Higher and Technical Education to make them Industry-ready, it’s managed by KCG. Finishing schools aim at the standard improvement of individuals leading to stability among theoretical studies and realistic job experiences. Finishing Schools offer many benefits for students and some of the key benefits associated with this area consists of — developing presentation skills, confidence enhancement, Individuals grooming, teaching key commercial enterprise etiquettes and arrange interactions with main industry experts. Finishing Schools play an important role in shaping the overall personality & character of individuals. In these schools, students get a unique opportunity to obtain the right balance between both theoretical & academic studies as well as practical exposure to other skills that prove fruitful to them in their later life.

Responsibilities of committee:

An institutional finishing school committee’s responsibilities lie mainly in three areas: To maintain policies, to monitor the budget for the year and to hire and evaluate the trainer for each component. Specifically, the detailed responsibilities of the finishing school convener and committee are described here.

·       The finishing school committee policies are formed by KCG. The policies describe how the Institutional Committee expects the session to be managed in each specific component for each formed batch of students.

·       Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.

·       Institute Committee Coordinate for possible schedules to be proposed and formation of batch with students and trainers with the permission of principal.

·       The Committee evaluates and hires the empanelled trainer and works with him/her to set goals for the batch of students after coordinating with KCG.

·       Institutional Committee convener makes a plan that will be executed in the event of a problem with the interior or exterior of the facility.

·       The institute Committee has the responsibility to manage a budget. However, the budget is developed by the KCG and it is then provided to the institutional committee.

·       Monitor project budget and track expenditures/transactions.

·       Institute Committee keeps updated records and create reports

·       Develop comprehensive reports on ongoing sessions and submit summary reports as well as feedback to KCG.

·       Provide certification to the students on successfully completion of the training.

421 Girl students of our Institute registered themselves and benefitted of FINISHING SCHOOL WEBINAR (April 2020) Series of one month organized by KCG during Lockdown periods and enhance their soft as well as personality skills towards career aspects.

OUTCOMES

·       Under Finishing school Programme around 100 students of various branches participated in LIFE development components and learn about Self awareness, Life goal, stress management, critical thinking ,problem solving and Team building  through different activities under guidance of expert Trainers. In employability skill session students learn about resume writing,body language, Grooming and Personal Hygiene , Presentation skills,Meeting etiquette, Social Media ,Cyber etiquette and job search through different activities under guidance of expert Trainers.
